Halloween is one of my favorite times of year to pull out simple activities for the kids. There is already so much excitement around costumes, pumpkins, trick-or-treating, and candy that you really don’t need anything complicated to make October feel special.
That’s why I put together this free Halloween printable pack for kids!
It includes five simple Halloween activities that you can print at home and use whenever you need something fun to keep the kids busy. They’re great for an afternoon at home, a Halloween party, a classroom activity, or even something to set out while you’re making dinner.
And the best part is that there is basically no prep. Just print and play!
What’s Included in the Free Halloween Printable Pack?
This free printable pack includes 5 different Halloween activities for kids:

I tried to include a mix of activities so there is something for different ages and interests. Some kids love searching and finding things, while others would happily sit and color or draw for an hour.
You can print the whole pack at once or just choose the pages your kids want to do.
1. Halloween I Spy Printable
I Spy activities are always a hit in our house. This Halloween version is filled with cute Halloween pictures for kids to search through.
Kids look through the page to find different Halloween items and then count how many of each one they can find.
It’s a fun quiet-time activity, but they’re also practicing visual discrimination and counting without it feeling like schoolwork.
I especially like activities like this for that time of day when everyone needs something to do, but I don’t necessarily want to pull out supplies and start a big project.
Print it, grab a pencil or crayon, and they’re ready to go.
2. Halloween Scavenger Hunt
This might be my favorite one in the pack because it gets kids up and moving.
The Halloween scavenger hunt includes 16 things for kids to look for, including pumpkins, ghosts, spider webs, skeletons, black cats, witches, candy, and more.
There are so many ways you could use this one.
Take it on a walk around your neighborhood and see how many items you can spot in people’s Halloween decorations. Bring it along to a pumpkin patch or Halloween event. You could even use it while trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
Kids can check off each Halloween item as they find it.
If you have siblings or a group of kids, you can give everyone their own copy and see who can find everything first.
3. Halloween Coloring Page
Sometimes the simplest activities are the ones kids spend the most time doing.
This free Halloween coloring page has pumpkins, a friendly ghost, bats, a black cat, a haunted house, and lots of other little Halloween details to color.
I kept this one cute rather than scary so it works well for younger kids too.
Set it out with crayons, markers, or colored pencils and let them go for it.
This would also be an easy activity to put at each child’s spot during a Halloween party. Add a little cup of crayons to the table and you have an activity ready to go without having to organize an actual craft.
4. Design Your Own Jack-o’-Lantern
This one lets kids get a little more creative.
The page has a giant blank pumpkin, and kids get to design their own jack-o’-lantern face.
They can make it silly, spooky, happy, scary, or completely ridiculous.
There are a few jack-o’-lantern face ideas at the bottom of the page if they need some inspiration, but they can also completely make up their own.
I love that every kid’s finished pumpkin will look different.
You could even have kids design their pumpkins on paper before your family carves real pumpkins. Everyone can experiment with different faces and then choose their favorite design to recreate on their actual pumpkin.
5. Halloween Spot the Difference
The last activity in the free Halloween printable pack is a Halloween Spot the Difference.
Kids get two similar Halloween scenes and have to find 8 differences between the pictures.
This is another really easy one to pull out when you need a quiet activity that doesn’t require any setup.
Have kids circle each difference as they find it and see if they can find all eight without any help!
