This program is sequential, intentional, and ensures your child will develop and build essential skills necessary to succeed in Kindergarten.
ABOUT THE PLAY AT HOME PRESCHOOL FULL CURRICULUM:
- This e-book provides 36 weeks of planned activities (18 two-week thematic units).
- You can download and implement at ANY time (does not need to be the beginning of the school year).
- The program has a big emphasis on promoting diversity, inclusion, and character education. Every unit has at least one book on the suggested book list that includes diverse characters and/or helps teach lessons about celebrating differences and acceptance.
- Geared for ages 2.5 - 5, it is very easy to adapt to your child's developmental needs (with many suggestions on how to do so). I have used this curriculum for both my 2.5-year-old and 5-year-old!
EACH TWO-WEEK THEMED UNIT INCLUDES:
- Unit overview to make planning ahead simple.
- Supply list - using so many items you already have at home!
- Suggested book list
- Daily detailed lesson plans with visuals to help!
- 1 or 2 focus letter(s) with corresponding letter mat, a poem for each letter, and hand motions to help learn each letter.
EACH DAILY LESSON PLAN INCLUDES:
- 1 Literacy or Math activity
- 1 Supplemental activity (activity topics vary by day and include art, STEM/STEAM, fine motor, gross motor, character education, sensory play, and more!)
- Daily Letter Work activity for the focus letter(s) of the unit
