Here are 4 fun patriotic themed activities to try with your preschooler. All the printables needed are free and you can download them HERE!
Activity 1: Ripped Star Art
Supplies:
- 1 Star printable
- glue
- blue and red construction paper
- scissors (optional)
Directions:
Let your child rip off pieces of red and blue construction paper. Glue the ripped pieces into the middle of the star. Once it's filled, let dry and cut out if you wish.
Activity 2: Dot Sticker Fireworks
Supplies:
- Dot Sticker Fireworks printable
- dot stickers
- permanent marker
Directions:
Place dot stickers on top of the grey dots on the printable. You can match letters by writing letters in each grey dot on the printable and writing the same letters on dot stickers as well.
Activity 3: Button Art
Supplies:
- 3 Star Printable
- glue
- small red, white, and/or blue buttons
Directions:
Let your child decorate the stars by gluing buttons into the stars on the printable. Let dry and admire! Print this on cardstock to be extra sturdy!
Activity 4: Star Search and Sort
Supplies:
- Star Flashcards + Star Sorting printables
- glue
- scissors
Directions:
Cut out the star flashcards. Let your child sort the red and blue star flashcards and glue them onto the corresponding sides on the sorting printable.
